Brought To You By: "Novelties-Wholesale-co.com"
Warning:
Lighters contain highly flammable butane gas, never fill in enclosed spaces or around sparks,
DO NOT SMOKE WHILE FILLING and always use caution when filling, do not open the lighter or puncture it, this may cause injury to either the lighter or yourself, always keep your lighter far out of the reach of any children. This page is a general outline for refilling your new butane, lighter. Note: this information is intended for Novelties-Wholesale-Co.com, butane lighters only, other lighters may need special actions.
When you first receive your lighter, depending on the style, it may have been emptied for safety reasons during shipping, the lighter should work fine but you will have to follow the following steps:
In order to fill your lighter follow these steps.
1. Purchase a can of butane gas, available at your local supermarket usually in the smoking section where they sell their cigarettes.
2. Shake the can for about 30 seconds.
3. Turn both the lighter and the can of gas upside down, and place the fuel tip on the can in the center refill tube on the lighter. ( the one with the hole in it).
4. After filling the lighter, it may be necessary to wait for 20-30 seconds until the fuel inside the lighter has time to settle. It is best to warm the lighter in your hands until it becomes room temperature.
5. Make sure the lighter is away from your face, then press the ignition button in to light it, if the fuel is coming out very fast stop immediately and adjust lighter as follows.
6. To adjust your lighter do the following: To adjust the amount of gas that comes out of the lighter do as follows:
a: Get a small regular head screw drive and place it in the same place where you fill it, there is two groves the screw driver should fit in both sides of the screw as not to cause damage to the lighter.
b: Turn the screw (very slowly and do not turn it too far) to the left to Raise the flame and to the right to lower the flame.
Important Note: The lighter must have the correct amount of fuel coming out of it, in order for the flame to ignite, if there is too much gas coming out it will not ignite. This is the main reason customers think the lighter is broken, if this happens you should be able to fix it by turning the adjustment screw (noted above) slowly to the right and try at different positions until you get the correct amount of pressure. Do not over turn the set screw as this will damage the lighters seals. Warning! Never fill a lighter in an enclosed area, always make sure there is proper ventilation and no sparks.
